ECOMMERCE/INTRANET/INTERNET Projects:

Successfully completed a fixed price turnkey project that allows managers to award merit compensation increases using the PMMC Intranet at Philip Morris. The MCIP project was executed using Visual Basic ActiveX controls, VB Script, ASP, JAVA Script, IIS 4.0, MS SQL Server and Visual Interdev. Utilities were developed to download customers’ DB2 data to the MS SQL Server database and upload updated data to DB2 after incentive compensation increases processing.

KATSI has developed a highly interactive Internet portal and content site for the Asian Indian ethnic community living outside India. The site was developed in partnership with Global Synergy, Inc. The site incorporates state of the art features like Internet telephone conference connections and was developed using Microsoft Internet Information Server 2.0, HTML, JAVA Script, VB Script, IDC/HTX, ISAPI, ActiveX, SQL Server 6.5, and NETMEETING SDK. Responsible for the development, maintenance and ongoing enhancements to the eCommerce site, www.eRemittance.com. The site is positioned as a competitor to American Express money gram and Western Union services and uses technology as an enabler to transfer money using distribution channels set up in various countries. The project uses Visual Basic ActiveX controls, Site Server Commerce 3.0, VB Script, ASP, JAVA Script, IIS 4.0, MS SQL Server and Visual Studio.

Currently working on the concept definition, analysis, design and development of a real estate portal for the North American market for our client, Newstar Technologies, Canada. The system will provide for listing of rental properties (commercial & residential), properties for sale (commercial & residential), suppliers of materials for home building, online order fulfillment using XML, EDI & traditional methods, etc. The system will be developed using JAVA, Java Script, JAVA BEANS, JSP, HTML, IBM Net.Commerce, ORACLE and Netscape Application Server.

Currently working on the concept definition, analysis, design and development of an application that facilitates suppler to customer data exchange through the Internet using XML and Microsoft Site Server 3.0 for our client Sajwani Exchange, UAE. The system is being developed using ASP, Visual Basic ActiveX controls, Site Server Commerce 3.0, VB Script, JAVA Script, IIS 4.0, MS SQL Server and Visual Studio.

Our Indian associate is currently working on the concept definition, analysis, design and development of a portal for medical doctors for the Asian Indian market. The system will provide information on medical advances, list disease related information, allow for drug characteristics search, etc. The doctor can store patient information and access it from anywhere over the Internet. The system is being developed using ASP, Visual Basic ActiveX controls, Site Server Commerce 3.0, VB Script, JAVA Script, IIS 4.0, MS SQL Server and Visual Studio.

Client Server & Legacy PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN:

Successfully completed a fixed price turnkey project aimed at awarding Incentive Compensation increases at Philip Morris Management Corp. This project was executed using Visual Basic for Applications and MS EXCEL. Utilities were developed to download customers’ DB2 data and upload updated data to DB2 after incentive compensation increases processing.

Successfully completed a turnkey project aimed at establishing interoperability between the mainframe legacy and AIX version of a PDM package for IBM. This project was executed using SEDL++, DB2/SQL, DB2/6000, SAA C, Unix K Shells. Utilities were developed to migrate customers’ DB2, DB2/6000 data to the new version of the product.

Successfully reengineered the appointment scheduling and patient registration modules of an AS/400 based medical healthcare package to a client-sever environment for Apollo Health Systems, Inc. This project was executed using POWERBUILDER, SQL/SERVER/ORACLE for a networked IBM PC/UNIX environment.
